When you arrive, you will be greeted at the airport by one of our ground team members and transported to the HPF accommodation.
Volunteers are accommodated in the designated HPF volunteer house, which is located 10-minutes drive from Mitilini airport and 5-minutes drive to the City Center. This two-story house has great facilities with beautiful balcony views and is only a short walk to the beach. Bedrooms are comprised of queen beds and single beds and you can expect to share a room with one to two other volunteers of the same gender. Bedding and towels are provided, and bathroom facilities are shared between no more than three other volunteers with hot showers.
Induction is hosted by our team members at the clinic inside Moria Camp. Induction begins on the morning of your start date (likely to be a Monday) and covers everything you need to know including; an introduction to camp Moria, HPF policies and procedures, rules and expectations, safety.
Our dedicated team members will support you every step of the way. The ground team includes our clinic lead, medical lead, assistants and translators.
Volunteer Package 1 (VP1) - 50 euros per day
What it covers
If you choose to forgo the HPF accommodation and Transportation for a private Hotel and Car Rental then the package is 30 Euros per day.
Volunteer Package 2 (VP2) - 30 euros per day
What it covers
Payment can be made via our HPF website or with in-country project manager. The funds are not transferable to other persons. The fees are refundable until thirty days before the start date. Requests for refunds must be made via an email to HPF’s Treasurer, clearly detailing the reasons for cancellation.
